Indian women athletes who proved herself extra

Indian women athletes who proved they were no less than their male counterparts, in fact a step ahead sometimes. India sent 50 women athletes to 2016 Rio Olympics, the largest-ever sporting contingent of women. A lot was expected from the Indian contingent as many expected India to better its London tally in Rio. When Indian male athletes missed the medals, two women wrestler Sakshi Malik and shuttler PV Sindhu raised the Indian flag at Rio. A lot was expected from India’s wrestling contingent but finally it was the girl from Rohtak in Haryana who made the whole of India proud.
